The Begode T4 has gone through several iterations since it was first available in 2023. When it was first released, the T4 was a slightly smaller version of the Begode Master—every dimension and spec was about 75% of that of the Master. This made the T4 a little lighter, and a little more nimble than its predecessor. Since that time, Begode has given us the T4 Pro and now the T4 Max. Let’s look at the changes to the most recent T4 Max, how it has improved, and how it measures up to other EUCs in 2025.

The Begode T4 Max has a 16? tire, fitting into the upper end of midsize EUC’s. Upgrading from the T4 Pro, it also now comes stock with an off-road knobby tire. However, this is where the similarities begin to end between the T4 Max and the T4 Pro.

Begode T4 Max – What Changed from the T4 Pro?

Battery: The T4 Max still has an 1800wh battery, but the batteries have now been upgraded to the Samsung 50s cells, from the previous 50e and 50gb variations. This is the industry standard now, which allows for faster charging and more predictable battery performance at high speeds, most importantly including the ability to maintain the max rated speed until much lower battery levels.

Motor: The motor on the T4 Pro was a C32 2600w motor, but that has been upgraded significantly on the Begode T4 Max to a Tile type C35 3000w motor. This means that there are now curved magnets fitting to the rim, which brings the rotor’s profile closer to the motor and improves magnetic field abilities, torque, top speed, and power efficiency.

Weight: The battery and motor upgrades result in the Begode T4 Max being slightly heavier than the T4 or T4 Pro, increasing from 35 to 36kg. However, this is a paltry difference that will not be noticed by riders.

Speed: The free spin speed of the wheel has also increased from 47 to 52 mph, and the max current limit of the motor has increased from 260A to 280A. While the T4 and T4 Pro certainly weren’t underpowered, the top speed was always their biggest drawback when compared to the Begode Master, so this increase in power is much appreciated.

Suspension: The last change from the T4 and T4 Pro to the T4 Max is related to suspension. Originally, the T4 featured a slightly updated version of the suspension and linkage that we saw on the Begode Master—it was usable, but not great. Subsequently the T4 Pro received much newer suspension designs which brought it in line with the Master V4 and even surpassed it.

With the Begode T4 Max now, the 100mm unidirectional damping shock has been completely overhauled and replaced with the DS200 Bidirectional damping S linkage and 100mm shock. This means that while the travel distance of the shock is the same, the shock can now provide damping on the way down and the way up, reducing stress on the whole system and making the ride much smoother. This also improves the T4 Max’ off road ability, since bidirectional damping makes the EUC much more capable in scenarios where frequent terrain changes cause the shock to hover in between top and bottom.

The Freshly Charged Take

In conclusion, while the Begode T4 Max might look similar to the T4 and T4 Pro, redesigns to the suspension system (borrowed from the success of the Begode ET Max), combined with upgrades to the battery and motor, make the T4 Max a hugely superior EUC. It still isn’t the fastest EUC, but its smaller frame makes it more portable, more favorable for commuting, and more nimble when riding on trails and technical paths.

It’s a step up from the Begode Falcon in terms of speed, but a step down from the Begode Blitz. Begode is the best EUC manufacturer at giving a myriad of options, and the T4 Max is another compelling choice for those who don’t need/want speeds over 40mph, or who simply want performance with a little less weight.
